Summer Servicing

As the warmer months return and your pool begins calling for use again, Gareth James Pools Ltd will recommission it efficiently and professionally, ensuring everything is clean, balanced and fully operational for the season ahead.

Our Pool Opening Service Includes:

• Removal of winter debris cover, folded and stored neatly
• Removal of debris from pool and surrounding areas
• Hoovering the pool floor
• Brushing pool floor and walls
• Water level inspection and adjustment
• Refitting and securing drain plugs
• Reconnecting any drained pipework
• Reinstating and activating the skimmer system
• Removing winter anti-freeze floats
• Restarting the pump and bringing the system back into operation
• Checking heaters are functioning correctly
• Water testing and balancing of chemicals

If the pool has turned green over winter, we will still carry out all of the above during our visit, including hoovering out as much algae as possible on the first attendance. Once treatment has been added and the remaining algae has died and settled, we will return the following week to carry out a further hoover and final clean, ensuring the water is clear and ready for use.
Please note that additional chemicals and the follow-up visit required to complete this process will be chargeable, as these fall outside the scope of a standard service.
We recommend a mid-season winter check to help prevent green pools on opening and reduce the likelihood of additional treatment being required.
