At Gareth James Pools Ltd, we offer flexible service options — however, for outdoor pools in particular, weekly servicing remains the professional standard for maintaining near-perfect water quality.
Weekly Service Plan - Complete Peace of Mind
Our weekly service plan is the most reliable way to maintain a consistently blue, healthy and trouble-free swimming pool.
Pools under our weekly care remain clear and balanced 99% of the time. Regular weekly attendance allows us to monitor and adjust water chemistry precisely, preventing the rapid imbalances that commonly lead to algae growth, cloudy water or unnecessary equipment strain.
Because outdoor pools are heavily influenced by temperature, rainfall and usage, weekly monitoring ensures stability and long-term protection.
Each weekly visit includes a comprehensive professional service:
- Removal of surface and floor debris
- Full vacuum of the pool floor
- Brushing of walls and tile band
- Backwashing or cleaning of filtration systems
- Detailed water testing and precise chemical balancing
- Inspection of pumps, filters and plant room equipment
- Emptying of skimmer and pump baskets
- Full system performance checks

Fortnightly Service Plan – Shared Responsibility
Our fortnightly plan is suitable for clients who are comfortable maintaining water chemistry between visits.
We carry out the same thorough professional service during each attendance. However, due to the natural fluctuation of water chemistry, it is not possible to dose chemicals in a way that guarantees perfect balance for a full two-week period — particularly in outdoor pools during warmer weather.
Owners must test and adjust chemicals during the alternate week to maintain stability. Without this involvement, water quality can decline quickly.
For clients seeking minimal involvement and maximum reliability, weekly servicing is strongly recommended.
Monthly Service Plan – Professional Oversight
Monthly visits are best suited to indoor pools or experienced owners who prefer to manage regular cleaning and chemical dosing themselves.
While we perform the same detailed inspection and servicing procedures during our visit, this plan functions primarily as a structured check-up and support service rather than full water management.
As we are not in attendance weekly, responsibility for maintaining chemical balance between visits remains with the pool owner. Chemical imbalance can lead to algae growth or equipment damage if not properly monitored.
Monthly servicing provides expert oversight and early fault detection, but relies on consistent owner involvement.
